Friday Whatever #9

Friday and back in Munich!! As you may have seen on Instagram I spent the last week on Mallorca. Actually my very first time on the island which is kind of embarrassing for a German girl as this is like a little Germany in the south. But to be honest, that’s exactly why I never wanted to go there – when I travel I like to explore something totally new and not a warm and sunny Germany Part II. But the last years the island changed a little from this mass tourism spot with drinking and partying all day on crowded beaches to a more relaxed place. So it was time to go!! Every time I go on vacation alone I get the cutest messages from you. And it always puts a smile on my face to read how impressed you are and that you would love to do this once, too. But girls!!! Why is it not the most natural thing for us to go on vacation alone?!? No one would ever question a man being on a trip alone. Why is this thing in our minds that we have to be sad or lonely or whatever keeps us from doing it? Honestly. Traveling alone is the most beautiful experience. When you travel with a man, friend, family you will never experience your travel destination as you will when being on your own. When alone, you listen more to the sounds of nature, you see every little detail you may not have noticed, you take more time for absolutely everything and you can do whatever you want to do, whenever you want to do it and how long you want to do it. Aaaaand you get so much more self-secure! When you are lost somewhere. When you have to do something for the very first time (like me renting a car). When you don’t know what to do. Nobody is there to help you or take the decision so you just have to make the best of it!

So girls, travel the world on your own and I hope some day it is just a normal picture!
