The PINK MACARON African Adventures

Ad/Anzeige

Ladies, I finally made it to South Africa! Number one on my bucket list for so many years. There is so much to see and as you already know, when I visit a place for the first time I WANNA SEE EVERYTHING!! So lets start with the first stop: The Grootbos Private Nature Reserve.

The first stop for your Garden Route trip could not be any more breathtaking. You find this eco reserve about 1 hour drive out of Cape Town nestled into 2500 hectares of wilderness at the South African Whale Coast. The beauty of the nature just blows your mind – best explored by horse or 4×4 safari! Best thing: those excursions are included in your hotel stay, as often as you want to.

The free standing suites are incredibly spacious and oversee the whole nature reserve to the beautiful coastline and cliffs (btw where you can spot hundreds of whales during whale season!). Nothing better than waking up in your canopy bed with those views.

A special shoutout goes out to the lovely rangers Christof and Ruan – we miss you!!! We wish they would have joined our whole South Africa trip. To protect us from mean spiders, to lead us trough stony paths while wearing not at all suitable shoes, to entertain us with their fun facts and stories. Still hope one of them wants to marry me haha 😉

Overall – definitely one of the most beautiful places and hotels I have ever had the joy to visit! Need to come back one day during whale season!
