The PINK MACARON Liguria Hopping

Ladies, there is no better place in the world to start the European summer than Bella Italia. The smell of yum pasta, fresh pesto and seafood is everywhere! We started our little road trip from Munich to Liguria where we explored Cinque Terre and beautiful Portofino.

We visited three out of the five villages and there are few roads into the Cinque Terre towns that are accessible by car. It leads to a parking area some kilometres from the villages. So better pack some stylish sneakers besides your new summer sandals! Local trains from La Spezia to Genoa and the rest of the region’s network connect the villages of Cinque Terre. So you can also go by train or use the walking trail that definitely offers some #viewgoals.

First stop was:

Vernazza

the picnic place to be! Never had a more stunning picnic view. Pack some yummy cheese, baguette, olives and sparkling champagne and walk about 20 minutes from the round trail. Then you will find this hidden spot to sit between green flowers and have a view all over colourful Vernazza.

Manarola

My favourite of all five villages because of the cute little shops (I shopped 3 dresses) and the wonderful Nessun Dorma restaurant where you have the feeling to sit in the middle of the ocean! Try the mozzarella and tomato bruschetta and don’t forget your classy Aperol Spritz. We only paid 23 Euros for a table full of treasures. And of course at those stunning photo spots you meet other Instagram girls like the gorgeous @tasteandtravel_pl. Loved to take pictures with her and her patient husband! We took like 3000 shots 😉 #basic

Riomaggiore

In this village you definitely should come early and rent a boat! So nice to watch the cute colourful houses from the sea that where build over the centuries carefully right up the cliffs.

After 2 days we continued our road trip. Only a two hours drive away from the Cinque Terre area you find famous…

Portofino

which is like the St. Tropez of Italy. I always was more connected to the French riviera but Portofino stole my heart right away. You only need 15 minutes to see the whole village but hours to discover all the shops. I took my new orange Mango dress out in Portofino which totally matches the 60s chic of the village.

The most beautiful hotel in Portofino definitely is the Hotel Belmond Splendido which has dream gardens and a cristall clear infinity pool. Only be careful with the lunch – the portions are super small and expensive but, well, it’s all about “been there done that” as the hotel feels like the movie “The talented Mr. Ripley”. Never saw that one? You should – super hot Matt Damon and Jude Law in bella Italia.

The perfect warm up for a little PINK road trip to Italy 🙂
